About PAC Financial

PAC Financial is a third-generation, family-owned independent financial advisory firm at 5291 Devonshire Road in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Since 1972, we have helped families, state employees, and business owners across Central Pennsylvania with retirement planning, investment management, annuities, life insurance, and estate coordination. We are open Monday through Friday, 9:30am to 5:00pm, and the phone gets answered by a person. Call (717) 564-6400.

Our story

Joe Marrazzo Sr. started this firm in 1972. When he retired, he handed it to his son Steve, who joined in 1987 and has been guiding Central Pennsylvania families ever since. Today Steve works alongside his son Christian and Private Wealth Advisor Tucker P. Nicholas, with Sonya Essis keeping the office running. Three generations in, the firm still works the way Joe built it: one office, real relationships, and advice from people who live in the same community as their clients.

Steve calls it home cooking. Nothing about this firm is a national call center. When you work with PAC, you know your advisor, your advisor knows your family, and the person who answers the phone knows your name. We are in your corner, and we are here to help simplify life's complex financial decisions in a way that makes sense and works for you.

And since we get asked: the name is a family thing. PAC Financial is a financial advisory and insurance firm, not a political action committee, and the only campaigns we run are the ones that get a family retired on time.

Who does PAC Financial serve?

Pennsylvania state employees approaching retirement. Harrisburg is a government town, and many of our clients spent their careers serving the Commonwealth. Pension elections, deferred compensation decisions, and the timing of retirement are choices you generally make once. We help state workers think them through before the paperwork gets signed. PAC Financial is independent and is not affiliated with any Commonwealth retirement system.

Small business owners. We design and service company retirement plans, and we help owners with the other side of the ledger too: their personal investments, their exit thinking, and their family's plan. One advisor, both jobs.

People who want a cohesive financial plan. Some folks come to us with a specific question: when can I retire, can we afford the beach house, how do we pay for college without wrecking our own future. Financial planning is how we answer those questions. We look at the whole picture, your income, your savings, your insurance, your taxes, and your goals, then build a written plan that connects them and shows what to do next. You do not need to have it all figured out before you call. Figuring it out together is the point.

Families at every stage. From a young couple's first investment account to a retiree's estate coordination, we work with people from all walks of life. You do not need to be wealthy to get real advice here. That has been true since 1972.

Retirement planning and rollovers. Actively managed investment portfolios, with access to a variety of third-party money managers rather than one company's house products. Annuities for income planning. Life insurance through our independent agency, where being independent means we shop many carriers to fit the need. Estate coordination and generational wealth protection. And tax-efficient strategies woven through all of it: asset location, withdrawal sequencing, and coordination that considers what you keep, not just what you earn. We are not tax professionals and do not provide tax advice; we work alongside your CPA or tax preparer so the whole team is pulling in the same direction. The full picture is on our services page.

Meet the team

Stephen A. Marrazzo, Sr., Private Wealth Advisor

Steve joined the firm his father built in 1987 and leads it today, which means the person running PAC Financial has been sitting with Central Pennsylvania families through every market since. He has helped hundreds of individuals and families with retirement savings, investments, and life insurance planning, holds Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 registrations, and is a Life Underwriters Training Council Fellow. He also spent twelve years coaching youth football for the Holy Name Jets, which tells you most of what you need to know about how he runs a huddle. Family comes first for Steve, in his own house and in yours. Reach him at (717) 564-6400 ext. 101, and read more about Steve here.

Tucker P. Nicholas, Private Wealth Advisor

Tucker grew up in the Harrisburg area, where his little league team at Vanatta Park was sponsored by PAC Financial years before he joined it. Some things come full circle on purpose. He focuses on actively managed portfolios, small business owners, new investors, and retirement planning, acts as a fiduciary in his advisory relationships, holds Series 7 and 66 registrations, and is licensed in Pennsylvania, Colorado, and Delaware. If you read something useful on this website, Tucker probably wrote it. Reach him at (717) 564-6400 ext. 181, and read more about Tucker here.

Christian Joseph Marrazzo, Life and Health Insurance Agent

Christian is the third generation of the family practice and works the insurance side of the firm, helping Central Pennsylvania families compare term, whole, and universal life policies, and health coverage options, from multiple highly rated carriers to protect the people who depend on them. The insurance conversation is usually the one families put off longest; Christian's job is making it a plain-English conversation instead of a sales pitch. Reach the office at (717) 564-6400, and read more about Christian here. Insurance services offered through PAC Financial, which is not affiliated with Osaic Wealth, Inc.

Sonya Essis, Administrative Assistant

Sonya has kept PAC Financial running for more than twenty years, and you will know you are in good hands the second she answers the phone, because she will know who you are by the second call. Born and raised in the Halifax area, Sonya also serves as a leading NFL Flag Football referee and is part of NFL and NCAA referee crews each fall, so fairness and keeping everyone in bounds is not just her day job. What working with us looks like

The first meeting is a conversation. We ask about your goals, your time horizon, and how you feel about risk. Then we build a plan around your answers and we stay with it, reviewing and adjusting as your life changes. Clients can reach their advisor directly, meet in person at the office or by video, and expect a straight answer even when the straight answer is that you do not need something we offer.

If something on this site raises a question, call us at (717) 564-6400 or stop by. We would enjoy speaking with you.
