That is Sonya Essis, and for more than twenty years she has been the first voice you hear when you call PAC Financial. In officiating, the white hat is not a fashion choice. It marks the head official, the referee who leads the crew, makes the final calls, and owns the game. Four championship games in one day is a statement about how the NFL's flag program regards her.
The person behind the whistle
Clients already know something about Sonya that the TV audience is about to learn: when she is in charge, things run right. Born and raised in the Halifax area and now living in Harrisburg, Sonya has kept PAC Financial running for over two decades as our head of administration. She also serves as a commissioner in the CFA youth football league, giving her free time to the same game she is officiating on the national stage today. Years of weekends on Central Pennsylvania fields, teaching the rules, keeping order, earning respect one game at a time, and now the white hat in championship games broadcast across the country.
